I think that 2pac has a lot of good songs that Biggie can't fuck with, but Biggie was more consistent with his ish.
Therefore, TIE!

I honestly hate when people say Tupac was the realest.......I mean lets be honest...if we really look at it.......the nigga was a studio gangster who acted out because of the people who surrounded him.......that's not taking away from his musical accomplishments because his shit is still tight....yeah he was influential and still is and made insipring tracks but what makes this dude different from the hundreds of studio gangsters who have their videos in rotation on BET on a daily basis?....
but to answer the question...as far as lyricism = Biggie......influence = Tupac (for the wrong reasons)

I pick Biggie cause he was the better technical rhymer.
But then again Tupac is dope in his own right.
I can't pick so someone make my mind up for me.

but to answer the question...as far as lyricism = Biggie......influence = Tupac (for the wrong reasons)
well theres 2 types of lyricism... some consider a good flow, multies, rhyme scheme, and that type of shit as lyricism.. someone who puts together words better.. and in THAT sense, biggie is better...
then theres a lyricism as in, metaphors, content, and vocabulary... and in that sense, 2pac is better...
personally, i dont think they are comparable.. 2pac was like a poet at times, that talked about the struggles of street life... he painted a picture wit his words....
whereas biggie would talk about the street life, but ina different sense.. songs like dead wrong, and ten crack commandments.. he talks about the drugs and violence going on in the streets...
ive flopped back and forth with these 2 forever, and i think ive finally settled on biggie.. the way he flows is just ridiculous... he creates these rhyming patterns while talking about certain shit that just makes me zone out...
"relax and take notes, while i take totes of the marijuana smoke...
throw you in a choke... gun smoke, gun smoke
biggie smalls the mayor, the rap slayer
the hooker layer, motherfucker say-your prayers"

my god...Biggie is so much better at this art form...rhyme schemes from another planet..cadence & delivery flawless...
I think people just wanted to be Pac cause he created controversy and brought the west back.. so they fell under his spell...but then again that makes him dope to be able to do that...I don't think he's garbage or anything but not even close to big in my book

Pac was overrated, he just had a nice flow.
Pac is better at everything, no homo.
It wouldnt be illesty if someone didnt make a biggie pac thread, we always end up with hundreds so thought id get it out the way, but with a differance because people always make these threads who was doper pac or biggie? answer both where dope, but in the name of debate my question is fukk who is better between em
which 2 man team do you think could beat them in a fantasy beef

I got an argument for both artists 2 Pac and Biggie.... I remember when Pac was a dancer for digital underground....doing the HUmpty Dance... thats not a diss...i also remember Big was just trying to get heard on the scene.... they both became 2 of the most prolific rappers in history... Quick beef point though.. if they were alive... would Jay have infiltrated as 1 of the the besT?

Well I've been into pac since i first got into hip hop and all his shit was amazing, but you gotta understand after listening to 2pac tracks for thousands of hours you lose the desire to listen to an extent... but i do fucking love biggie too and its tought to pick
i would just say
2Pac - Most versatile MC, could rap about anything any type of track and make it dope as all fucking hell... and his swagger was fucking crazy
Biggie - definitly pretty 1 dimensional but amazing at what he did and lyrically a beast... and once more chance alone had soo much fucking swagger it was insane...
honestly biggie has 2 cds better than any of 2pac IMO (2pacs cds wore off on me at least 3 or 4 years ago) so now with pac it just feels like he should have released half the albums he did and only take the best shit from 2 of his albums and if he threw thatinto one, he would have 4 albums in my top 15 anyway but a lot of them did have some filler, some were fucking dope as hell too for sure but RTD and LAD were consistantly dope throughout so Biggie composed better lps and was probably better lyrically
but pac represented a lifestyle and his overall musical ability was superior to biggys

In terms of material, neither are all that remarkable. Every album either of them ever released had filler. I give Biggie the edge because Pac never released an album as strong as Ready to Die but neither were all that accomplished in terms of records. Individual songs, yes. Albums, no.
In terms of verbal talent and raw MCing skill, it's Biggie, hands down.
